Conference Tournaments
Many of the Conferences usually have post season tournaments as a way to keep playing before the CIAC State Tournament. Sometimes(many times) these tournaments are more exciting than the State Tournament games. Teams might be playing each other for the third time, could be the rubber match between the teams, and if it's for the championship, it gets very exciting. In most conference tournaments, it could be the top 4 teams that make it, maybe the top 8, or now if you qualify for the State Tournament(8 wins) you automatically qualify for the conference tournament, which really gives more teams a chance to play. I know sometimes it's tough getting these tournaments in sometimes because of postponed games due to weather during the season, but I wonder, depending on the size of the conference, maybe all the teams should be allowed to make the conference tournament(Big East Tournament). Just start it earlier. I know it would take some nifty scheduling but maybe it could be done. You nver know - you might just see an upset in the early rounds. Just a thought.
